  • By Train: Junagadh Railway Station (JND)
  • By Bus: Drop point: Majevdi Gate, Bhavnath Taleti Road, Opposite Medical College
  • By Road: Junagarh is well connected via state highways.

🌤️ Best Season to Visit

October to March: pleasant weather for trekking.
Avoid monsoon season (June–September) as rains rushes down from stairs

🍽️ Food Options

  • Very difficult to get snacks on streets during morning hours. However in evening there are many options.
  • Best is to discuss with your accommodation before only
  • Carry light dry food from home like Thepla, Kachori, Chakli, etc
  • If possible, avoid eating anything on the teak, unless very essential

  • Limited space for Car parking outside ropeway
  • No parking near stairs, congested market
  • Ample parking outside Bhavnath Temple
  • Discuss with your stay

🛖 Accommodation

  • Many Dharmashala, Lodges near Bhavnath area but they don't take prior online bookings
  • Hotels in Junagarh City like: Fern, Click, Sarovar, Asopalav, etc

  • Packaging Materials: Wrapping films around sweet boxes, cigarette packets, and invitation cards, plastic sheets for packing books/magazines
  • Polystyrene, Thermocol, decoration, plastic flags, candy sticks, ice-cream sticks, and PVC banners

✔️Essential Checklist

  • Cap, angavastra, shawl, stole, scarf to cover head and ears
  • Sunglasses
  • White coloured loose cotton clothes for hiking
  • Comfortable shoes with strong grip for climbing or atleast washed socks to cover the foot
  • Handtowel, Handkerchief
  • Water or ORS mixed in water inside a metal bottle
  • Small torch, avoid mobile flash light to save battery
  • Working and fully charged Powerbank with cable
  • Balm tubes for muscle relaxation, avoid sprays due to pressure difference
  • Digital Sphygmomanometer (Blood pressure measuring) if you require
  • Stick is helpful, you can easily get locally with deposit of Rs.30 and rental cost Rs.20
  • Early Morning hike recommended to avoid sunlight and returning before dark

⚠️ Washrooms

  • No Washrooms are available on the entire trek, strictly plan accordingly
  • Nearest proper washroom, only at Ropeway terminal building on Bhavnath grounds after security ticket check and before boarding.

Ropeway

  • Route: Ground Bhavnath area to Ambaji hills and vice versa
  • Subject to local weather conditions only, the ropeway will function. Do not entirely rely on ropeway, as it may not run while returning and you may have to use stairs
  • Half ticket for Kids below 100 cm height
  • Per ropeway cabin: 8 passengers, 4 on each side

⚠️ Mobile Networks

  • Weak, Unstable and inconsistent network but coverage still available for Jio, Vi, Airtel and BSNL on hills
  • Before making Video calls, check the signal strength and availability of 4G / LTE or 5G. At certain places you will get proper signals like on hill tops or clear line of sight towards ropeway
  • Its open area with strong winds on hill, so assure your personal safety by being aware of surroundings before calling.
  • No Mobile phone usage is allowed inside temples, so switch to Airplane mode and be courteous for other devotees
